Making a connection: Inspectorio and EON in DPP partnership

Inspectorio and EON have formed a strategic partnership designed to help brands and retailers create and deploy Digital Product Passports (DPP) at scale.

The partnership brings together Inspectorio’s supply chain data capabilities with EON’s enterprise Digital ID technology, connecting two key elements required for DPP implementation.

Inspectorio provides the product, material, supplier, traceability, compliance and sustainability data needed to populate a DPP. EON, meanwhile, creates and manages the unique Digital ID associated with each product and provides the digital experience through which information can be shared with consumers, regulators, circular partners and other value-chain stakeholders.

At the heart of the partnership is a direct integration between the Inspectorio platform and EON Product Cloud. This allows product and supply chain information captured and managed within Inspectorio to flow directly into EON, reducing the need for brands to manually aggregate, transfer and maintain data across separate systems.

Inspectorio chief product & technology officer Kamal Anand said DPPs are fundamentally a data challenge, with brands needing to collect and connect information across products, materials, suppliers, facilities and multiple tiers of their supply chains.

“By connecting Inspectorio and EON, we are bringing together the supply chain data infrastructure and Digital ID technology brands need to move from DPP pilots to scalable, operational programmes,” explained Anand.

EON founder & CEO Natasha Franck said the DPP represents a new infrastructure layer connecting physical products with trusted digital information throughout their lifecycle.

The companies said their integration will help brands move away from manually assembled DPP pilots towards programmes capable of supporting millions of products across complex global supply chains.

The partnership also aims to support connected and circular products, with EON’s Digital ID infrastructure enabling capabilities including resale, repair, recycling, authentication and customer engagement.
