#RTS2026 returns to Excel London in April

#RTS2026: 12 tech companies to chat to about retail sustainability

The Retail Technology Show (#RTS2026) is back on 22-23 April, with more than 400 exhibitors set to pack the expo halls of Excel London.

Although the #RTS2026 team always put on a well-attended and well-organised event, supported by an event mobile app, it can be challenging to navigate one’s way around a show of this size – particularly for those on a specific mission.

For that reason, and for our convenience and yours, Green Retail World has highlighted 12 companies exhibiting at the 2026 event that we believe are worth visiting to chat to about retail sustainability in its various guises.

There’s a chance we’ve missed some (hey, nobody’s perfect!), and we’ll be reporting on what we find during and after the event if there are other interesting sustainability conversations we stumble across, but here’s a quick guide for those travelling to #RTS2026 in April with green-tinted glasses on. Below – in no particular order – are our 12 firms to find to chat to about retail sustainability.

Stuart

Delivery company Stuart, which already works with retailers including Tesco, Co-op, and Abercrombie & Fitch, is on a mission to decarbonise the last mile of e-commerce fulfilment, by adding bikes and electric-powered vehicles to its fleet.

The company’s stated mission is “we’re building logistics for a sustainable world”, and representatives from Stuart will be around to chat to retailer visitors on Stand D45.

DESL

DESL is a product lifecycle management (PLM) software provider for fashion, and includes Patagonia and Lacoste on its client roster.

The company has a dedicated sustainability accelerator programme, which offers clients a suite of tools to achieve and measure sustainability goals. The aim of the initiative is to help fashion brands accelerate sustainability initiatives and reduce waste, while improving transparency across their supply chain and product development.

The company can be found on Stand W40.

GS1 UK

GS1 UK is the long-established standards organisation in retail, and its current focus is on powering the switch from product barcodes to product QR codes – which it says will provide retailers and consumers alike with better product information.

From a retailer perspective, the replacement of barcodes with QR codes is helping retailers such as Tesco improve sell-through and reduce waste, while for consumers the QR codes open up new ways for engagement and product provenance research.

Akeneo

We’ve covered on these pages before how Akeneo’s product information management software is used by fashion brand Arket to surface sustainability information for display on its online product description pages.

Akeneo will be at #RTS2026 on Stand N18.

Avery Dennison

Avery Dennison has long been focused on supporting retailers gain better visibility of their products throughout the supply chain, notably through RFID tools and services.

With fashion brands staring into a mountain of upcoming legislation such as the digital product passport (DPP), which is part of the wider Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation that entails multiple new laws for companies selling into the European Union, this product data needs to be surfaced – and Avery Dennison says it can support.

The business will be located on Stand L50.

Vestir

E-commerce tech company Vestir promises retailers it can help hyper-personalise the online customer experience (CX).

Shoppers are able to use the tech to see themselves in the clothes they are considering to buy, in full photo-realistic 3D & in motion. The aim of the tech is to enhance the CX, increase conversion and reduce returns for online retailers.

Visitors can find Vestir at Stand U25 at the Start-up Superstars zone.

Centric Software

Green Retail World supported a webinar on the DPP Wake-Up Call last year, run by Centric Software – and we will be doing so again this spring (watch this space!).

Centric’s PLM software is set up to help brands streamline their data management, which enables them to centralise, standardise, and aggregate data from suppliers – hence making it easier to meet DPP compliance and provide accurate, reliable product data.

Visitors to #RTS2026 can find Centric on Stand T28.

Loweconex

Centralised data platform provider LoweConex allows retailers to observe, analyse and control their real estate assets, which it says empowers them to make better decisions about how they run their operations.

Brands such as cosmetics company L’Occitane work with the company to monitor their estates, which can result in a reduction in energy usage and costs.

How about checking them out at Stand V28.

Recyclever

Green Retail World met up with the Recyclever leadership team at EuroShop 2026, in February.

The company’s reverse vending machine technology is set to grow in demand in the build-up to the UK’s deposit return scheme clicking into gear in October 2027. Recyclever talks up the digital screen attached to its RVMs, which can be utilised by retailers as an in-store retail media play.

Recyclever will be on Stand G01.

ProductIP

In this world of growing retailer transparency and regulatory compliance, more tools are needed to help businesses prove their products are trustworthy.

Documented evidence behind every specification, marketing claim, and compliance statement is required, and ProductIP says its product compliance management system can be a retailer’s central system for these tasks.

Pricer

Pricer is an electric shelf label (ESL) tech provider, and one of the features of its proposition is waste prevention.

To help combat food waste in grocery stores, Pricer’s technology can alert shop staff to short-dated items with an ‘Instant Flash’ on the ESLs. Pricer says it is working with partners to improve its waste management solutions.

Pricer can be found on Stand K50.

Saiz

Another company aiming to help online fashion retailers get garment fit right first time to help the industry reduce returns is Saiz.

Founded in 2022 and with a €2.5 million seed investment in 2024, the Germany-headquartered organisation promises to address sizing and fit at its root. The aim is to help fashion brands to unlock smarter decisions and drive lasting impact through better CX and reduced waste in the e-commerce process.

Saiz will be located at Stand SU26 in the Start-up Superstars area.
