Fashion brand Paul Smith has announced it is now offering its customers an alterations and repairs service thanks to a new partnership with specialist, Sojo.
On the website page talking about the new tie-up, Paul Smith acknowledged the importance of “a patch-up when needed” and for its customers to maintain “a perfect fit” as they hold on to and wear their items over several years.
People can book an alterations and repairs service online via a dedicated Paul Smith-Sojo booking page or in one of the designer’s brand’s UK stores. The garment is left with Sojo and is processed by the company at its east London tailoring centre before being returned directly to a customer’s home or for in-store collection.
Paul Smith bags, shoes, and accessories are not currently available for alterations and repairs.
In 2024, Sojo – which was established in 2021 – secured an extended partnership with Selfridges and new tie-ups with Reiss and Marks & Spencer.
Josephine Philips, CEO & founder at Sojo, said on LinkedIn: “Incredibly excited to add Paul Smith to our list of Sojo brand partners given they’re one of the biggest names in British tailoring and one of the most iconic menswear designers in the world.
“We’ve launched both our online and in-store repair and alterations solution with Paul Smith and our tailors are already loving working on their clothes as they’re all built with craftsmanship and timelessness in mind.”
Sojo secured a permanent concession space at Selfridges in London, in 2024, as the department store group continued to ramp up its circular activity and extend partnerships with companies offering ways to extend the lifecycle of clothing.
The space is on the third floor, and customers can bring any clothes for alteration via drop-in or appointment. It followed a successful pop-up hosted at the site.
