Nespresso and Hived have announced a partnership that will see electric delivery vehicles fulfil the coffee brand’s online orders in London.
The move will mean Nespresso customers based in the capital city will receive their coffee with lower carbon emissions from transport than before – and the tech-enabled Hive platform helps give consumers greater control over their deliveries too.
Although the subject of sustainability is challenging when discussing coffee pods, as it is with any packaged goods, Nespresso says its customers can be confident their coffee will arrive at their homes more sustainably than before thanks to the electric delivery vehicles.
All Hived’s deliveries are 100% electric, including the middle mile from distribution centre to depot. Features on the Hived platform provide customers with the ability to track their orders in real time, receive regular live updates and access live chat with Hived customer representatives which can help improve delivery success rates.
