Demling arrives at the Sweden-headquartered business, which operates in the UK online, via its own stores, and in John Lewis and Fenwick concessions, with more than 15 years of experience from international premium and consumer brands.

The retailer said she will play a pivotal role in the company’s continued development and growth.

The new recruit arrives on the back of senior roles at Peak Performance and ICANIWILL, having previously worked at international consumer goods companies such as Unilever, Cloetta, and Procter & Gamble.

In her new role, Demling will lead the development of Polarn O. Pyret’s product offering, but sustainability will – as it has always done at the brand which is a strong supporter of the second-hand/pre-loved market – remain an integral part of product development and a key driver of the innovation strategy.

“Polarn O. Pyret is one of the Nordic region’s most beloved brands, with a distinct identity, strong customer trust, and products that make a real difference for families,” Demling argued.

“I look forward to working with the team to continue developing a relevant and inspiring offering that combines quality, functionality, sustainability, and innovation.”

Sara Sjöberg, CEO of Polarn O. Pyret, said of the new appointment: “Her experience with some of the Nordic region’s strongest premium brands and several of the world’s most successful consumer goods companies makes her a perfect addition to our team.

“What impresses us most is her ability to integrate product, brand, and commercial thinking to drive growth and create strong customer experiences. This combination will be a tremendous asset as we continue to develop our offering and our international operations.”
