The incentive of a Ganni gift card is central to a new resale partnership between the Denmark-based luxury retailer and the fashion marketplace Vestiaire Collective.
Vestiaire announced the arrival of Ganni on its platform earlier this month, saying the tie-up gave the brand’s community “a meaningful and responsible way to extend the life of their pieces” by putting them up for resale.
Central to the new partnership is the customer incentive of a Ganni gift card topped up with an additional 10% bonus for all consumers opting to resell their goods via the Vestiaire platform.
“This partnership reflects a shared belief: impactful change happens when we work together,” Vestiaire said of the new arrangement.
“By combining Ganni’s progressive vision with Vestiaire Collective’s preloved fashion expertise, we’re creating a seamless way for the Ganni community to participate in the circular economy.”
The Ganni gift card is distributed to the customer the moment an item is authenticated and listed on Vestiaire, meaning consumers do not need to wait for their goods to sell before gaining financially from their decision to embrace the circular economy.
Meanwhile, Vestiaire announced today (29 October) it has expanded its partnership with Mytheresa, extending its resale service to also cover menswear.
Since launching in June 2021, more than 55,000 womenswear pieces have been given a second life through the collaboration between these two luxury players, according to Vestiaire.
MyTheresa customers reselling items through Vestiaire get instant store credit.
“This expansion arrives at a pivotal moment as we strategically develop our men’s category – one of our fastest-growing segments,” Vestiaire announced via a LinkedIn statement.
“It reinforces our shared commitment with Mytheresa to making circular fashion a true alternative for all luxury customers, across all categories. Together, we’re proving that luxury and circularity go hand in hand.”
