Eco-friendly brands set to appear at Green Live

Green Live: Eco-friendly brands and services showcased at UK shopping centres

Two UK shopping centres are set to host ‘Green Live’ in October, a new event showcasing eco-friendly brands, products and services.

Westfield London and centre:mk in Milton Keynes will play host to the event, which aims to attract consumers who like to purchase goods with sustainability in mind by bringing together green-thinking organisations in the retail space.

Eco-friendly brands will be on show at Westfield between 1-3 October, and then at centre:mk Milton Keynes between 15-17 October.

Green Live has announced vehicle manufacturer Citroën as the headline sponsor, as the company embarks on its electrification strategy that will see an electrified variant of each Citroën model in its sales line-up by 2025.

Green Live is also partnering with Treepoints and MoreTrees, two organisations that help people and organisations offset their carbon footprint by planting trees around the world. Some 25,000 carbon absorbing trees have been agreed to be planted on behalf of the first 25,000 people to register for the two October events.

Grace Charge, head of brand experiences & partnerships at Westfield parent company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s (URW) UK and European arm, said: “Building on our successful heritage of events with the team for our annual Job Show, we’re happy to see the partnership expand to an area that aligns so perfectly with URW’s CSR and Better Places 2030 strategy – aimed at transforming and future-proofing our portfolio and giving purpose and drive to our teams, retailers and experiences for visitors.”

Kevin Duffy, centre director at centre:mk, added: “Milton Keynes is a city that has a reputation for pioneering new, eco-friendly technology, so to bring Green Live here, to the heart of the community continues this legacy.”

Green Live is free to attend, and tickets are available the event’s official website. More than 80 eco-friendly brands and speakers are expected to participate in the event.
