Spain-based but global fashion retailer Mango has extended its partnership with tech company Inspectorio, aiming to improve its management of materials, boost product quality, and ensure compliance in its supply chain.
Specifically, Mango has deployed Inspectorio’s automated Lab Test Management tool, extending a partnership the businesses have had in place for the last six years.
Through the new collaboration, Mango expects to gain performance insights at the supplier, material, and product level, enabling it to identify trends and act swiftly to improve quality and performance. By standardising lab testing protocols across Mango’s product categories – including apparel, footwear, and home goods – the new tool is also expected to support the retailer’s environmental compliance work too.
Inspectorio’s inspection capabilities have been deployed across hundreds of Mango’s suppliers. Mango’s latest investment comes as the retailer expands its US presence – a move involving multiple new store openings across the territory.
Inspectorio says its supply chain platform integrates quality inspection and lab test data in one centralised, AI-powered platform. The company, which works with multiple retailers around the world, including US department store chain Target, says its proposition helps retailers eliminate operational silos by consolidating lab test requests, results, and audit-ready compliance documentation.
Chirag Patel, CEO of Inspectorio, commented: “Mango exemplifies the agility and innovation needed to thrive in today’s fast-changing retail environment.
“We’re proud to support their efforts by automating the lab testing process across global operations, setting a new benchmark for digital transformation in the fashion industry.”
In June, Mango partnered with Circulose – the company born out of the February 2024 administration of circular fashion pioneer Renewcell – in a move intended to accelerate the adoption of regenerated materials in the retailer’s product ranges.
Mango was the first scaling partner since investment firm Altor acquired Renewcell’s remaining assets in June 2024 and renamed the business ‘Circulose’ in reference to the collapsed business’s hero product. Working together, the aim is to use Circulose’s recycled textile material in Mango’s fashion lines to help move towards a more circular fashion production model.
