Health food and supplements retailer Holland & Barrett is using e-cargo bikes and a new inventory management system across 100 of its stores, thanks to an extended partnership with specialist provider Ridelogix.
Ridelogix enables Holland & Barrett to better monitor stock levels in its London stores, identify when popular products are at risk of selling out, and receive recommendations on the optimal store-to-store stock movement. Using the software, the retailer can redeploy stock from another store or its urban distribution hub via e-cargo bikes.
Holland & Barrett and Ridelogix have been working together since May 2024, and the roll out of the trial to 100 shops is evidence of its success to date. The two companies said more than 5,700 “zero-emissions deliveries” have been made through the Ridelogix platform, replenishing 75,000-plus units across its London stores.

John Jones, head of fulfilment transformation at Holland & Barrett, commented: “Partnering with Ridelogix reinforces Holland & Barrett’s commitment to delivering what our customers need, when they need it and with reduced environmental impact.
“The original pilot started with just ten stores and helped us restock faster and more efficiently, so we’re excited to be rolling it out across our wider London store network.”
Ridelogix founder Serhat Kyuchuk-Pakyuz added: “We’re thrilled to have a retailer who is committed to sustainability like Holland & Barrett on board.
“Our technology turns city stores into agile micro-fulfilment hubs by combining real-time stock monitoring with zero-emission logistics.”
He continued: “Traditional vans are often underutilised and struggle with congestion in cities like London. E-cargo bikes offer a smarter alternative, navigating restricted lanes and side roads while carrying up to 200kg of goods.”
