Green Retail World’s latest tour of the UK’s greener retailing scene took editor, Ben Sillitoe, to a WHSmith high street store in Tonbridge.
The cards, books, and stationery retailer launched ‘Bookcycle’ in 2023, allowing consumers to take back unwanted books and receive credit to spend in WHSmith stores and online. Supported by Zeercle, it’s another example of the resale or re-commerce phenomenon popping up in mainstream retail.
