Green Retail World’s latest tour of the UK’s greener retailing scene took editor, Ben Sillitoe, to Currys’ repair centre in Newark.
The electricals retailer has dedicated a sizeable part of its distribution centre, which is operated in partnership with GXO, to the circular economy. There is a dedicated and growing team of employees focused on repairing and refurbishing technology, and recovering parts from devices to be used in the maintenance of other products.
COO Lindsay Haselhurst and several of the Currys senior team took us around the facility.
