Green Retail World is delighted to announce global payments platform provider Adyen as a launch partner, as we continue documenting the retail industry’s ever-increasing focus on sustainability and all-important environmental issues.
The two companies will work on several activities in the months ahead, but – most prominently – Adyen’s branding will be associated with each piece of content published on the site over the launch period.
Adyen was founded in the Netherlands in 2006 and is a key payments partner for many retailers and brands – including eBay, Etsy, Farfetch, Gap, Levi’s, L’Oreal, Swarovski, and Watches of Switzerland.
It is embarking on several internal projects and initiatives aimed at having a positive societal impact, while helping the retail community enhance its ethical trading credentials with several new products and services.
Anna Chandler, director of marketing UK at Adyen, said: “We’re committed to building an ethical and sustainable business.
“We take responsibility for our environmental impact, use our technology to do good, and work to drive positive change in our local communities. Through this partnership with Green Retail World, we’re excited to connect with other ethical businesses and combine our efforts to make an even greater impact overall.”
Further Green Retail World launch partnerships are set to be announced in the coming days and weeks, which will enable the publication to develop its proposition and help produce more content on the vital topic of greener retailing practices.
Ben Sillitoe, editor of Green Retail World, said: “Thank you to Adyen for supporting Green Retail World – it’s great to have the team on board as a launch partner.
“At this crucial time for the retail industry, with much attention focused on 2050 net zero goals, carbon reduction and new greener business models and processes, there is a need for extensive coverage to help spread best practice and inspire companies into action. Green Retail World is at the forefront of that, and with support from the industry it will gain a wider reach and make an even bigger difference.”
